What It Does Well

Three things set the Envision apart from most of what you’ll cross-shop in this price range. First, regular unleaded — 87 octane, not premium. EPA-estimated 22 city and 28 highway. Second, quiet. Buick’s QuietTuning with Active Noise Cancellation is standard on every trim. The cabin stays settled on the highway stretches west of Bee Cave where road noise from the limestone surface gets into most crossovers.

Third, the 30-inch ultrawide display and Bose nine-speaker audio are standard at the Preferred, not gated behind a mid-tier trim or a technology package. Head-up display, wireless charging, and memory presets for the driver seat and mirrors — all standard, all three trims.

What It’s Not

The Envision tows 1,500 pounds, properly equipped. That covers a jet ski or a small utility trailer, not a boat and trailer.
