Covert Buick GMC

2026 Buick Envision Dealer Austin Texas

Standard all-wheel drive, a 228-horsepower turbo four, a 30-inch screen across the dash, and 87-octane fuel. Here is the full 2026 Envision, trim by trim.

The 2026 Buick Envision is a five-passenger compact SUV that starts at $41,000 MSRP, excluding destination freight charge, tax, title, license and dealer fees. Every trim runs the same 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, every trim gets intelligent all-wheel drive as standard equipment, and every trim tows up to 1,500 pounds with a properly rated conventional hitch on the AWD configuration. It is 182.7 inches long, which is a shade over fifteen feet, and it fits a structured parking bay at the Hill Country Galleria without the nose hanging into the aisle.

Covert Buick GMC stocks the Envision across all three trims. This page walks the powertrain, the trim ladder and what each step actually buys you, the technology, the cabin, the safety suite, and the warranty, then routes you to the trim that fits how you drive.

2026 Buick Envision Engines and Powertrain Options

One powertrain, no options to weigh

2.0L Turbocharged Four-Cylinder

There is one engine and one transmission for 2026, which removes a decision most crossover shoppers have to make. The 2.0L turbo produces 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque through a nine-speed automatic. Intelligent all-wheel drive with an active twin clutch is standard on Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir alike, so all-wheel drive is not an upcharge and not a trim gate. A five-link rear suspension and engine stop-start technology are also standard across the lineup.

The engine runs on 87-octane regular unleaded. Turbocharged engines carry a reputation for demanding premium, and Buick answers the question directly on the Envision’s own product page: regular is what it takes. Over a year of running TX-71 into town and back, that difference is the kind of thing that shows up on a statement.

Buick Envision Trim Lineup and Pricing

Three trims, one powertrain

Because the mechanicals never change, the ladder is entirely about wheels, seats and cabin equipment. That makes it a cleaner decision than most. All prices below are MSRP excluding destination freight charge, tax, title, license and dealer fees.

Envision Preferred

Starting at $41,000 MSRP, before destination. The entry trim is not a stripped one. Preferred includes the 30-inch diagonal screen, Google built-in compatibility, the Bose nine-speaker premium audio system, a Head-Up Display, wireless smartphone charging, OnStar Basics, and memory presets for the driver seat and side mirrors. It rides on 18-inch machined alloy wheels with a Technical Gray finish and seats in perforated leatherette, with adaptive headlights and heated mirrors. Heated front seats are not standard here; they arrive with the available Comfort and Convenience Package, which also adds a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a hands-free programmable power liftgate with LED logo projection, an in-vehicle air quality indicator, automatic air recirculation and a Universal Home Remote.

Envision Sport Touring

Starting at $43,500 MSRP, before destination. Sport Touring is an appearance and feel step rather than a capability one. It adds 20-inch Carbon Flash Metallic alloy wheels, gloss black grille accents, a flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, ST-embossed front head restraints, alloy sport pedals, and perforated leather-appointed seats with suede-like leatherette inserts. Nothing under the hood changes.

Avenir

Starting at $50,700 MSRP, before destination. Avenir is where the comfort equipment stops being optional. It comes with a panoramic moonroof, a hands-free programmable power liftgate with LED logo projection, quilted perforated leather-appointed seats, heated and ventilated front seats with eight-way power and four-way power lumbar, a massaging driver seat, heated outboard rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Universal Home Remote, and 20-inch alloy wheels with a Pearl Nickel finish.

Trim Starting MSRP Wheels Defining equipment
Preferred from $41,000 MSRP 18-inch machined alloy 30-inch screen, Bose nine-speaker audio, Head-Up Display, memory presets
Sport Touring from $43,500 MSRP 20-inch Carbon Flash Metallic Gloss black grille accents, flat-bottom steering wheel, alloy sport pedals
Avenir from $50,700 MSRP 20-inch Pearl Nickel Panoramic moonroof, heated and ventilated front seats, massaging driver seat

MSRP excludes destination freight charge, tax, title, license, dealer fees and optional equipment. Dealer sets final price.

Technology and Connectivity

One screen, edge to edge

The 30-inch diagonal ultrawide display runs the instrument cluster and the infotainment system as one continuous surface. Buick calls it the largest in its class. Google built-in compatibility is standard on every trim, as is wireless smartphone charging, the Head-Up Display that throws speed and forward collision alerts onto the windshield, and OnStar Basics with hands-free voice assistance, remote commands and Automatic Crash Response.

Audio is the Bose nine-speaker premium system, standard from Preferred up. Ambient interior lighting offers 126 colors. Full dimension-by-dimension figures live on the Envision specs and dimensions page.

Interior and Comfort

Quiet is the point

2026 Buick Envision interior showing the ultrawide display and front seats

QuietTuning with Active Noise Cancellation is standard on all three trims, and it is the trait that separates the Envision from a mainstream compact SUV. On the RM 2244 run into Westlake, where the pavement changes surface three times in five miles, it is the difference between a conversation and a raised voice.

Seating surfaces climb from perforated leatherette on Preferred, to perforated leather-appointed with leatherette inserts on Sport Touring, to quilted perforated leather-appointed on Avenir. Ventilated front seats stop reading as a luxury line item somewhere around the third consecutive week above 100 degrees, which is a normal Texas Hill Country summer. Heated outboard rear seats and the massaging driver seat are Avenir equipment.

Cargo, Seating and Towing Capability

Five seats, two rows, light-duty hitch

The Envision seats five across two rows. There is no third row and no seven-passenger configuration, so a household that regularly carries six is shopping the wrong Buick. The rear bench splits and folds to open the load floor.

Towing is rated at 1,500 pounds with a properly rated conventional hitch on the AWD configuration, and that number governs regardless of trim. Buick’s own guidance names the honest use cases: a small utility trailer, a jet ski, a bike rack or a compact cargo carrier on a properly rated hitch. It does not name boats or campers, and neither will we. A dealer-installed hitch does not raise the factory limit. Before a weekend at Lake Travis with anything behind you, read the towing section of the Owner’s Manual.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Standard across all trims

Buick fits the same driver-assistance suite to Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir. Standard on every 2026 Envision:

  • Blind Zone Steering Assist
  • Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking
  • Rear Cross Traffic Braking
  • Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Side Bicyclist Alert

Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking matters on the RM 620 corridor through Lakeway, where left turns across two lanes of lake traffic are the daily reality.

Which 2026 Buick Envision Is Right for You?

The router

Because the powertrain is identical on all three, no trim is quicker, more capable or better in weather than another. What changes is the cabin. Match the trim to how you actually use the vehicle.

If you Choose Because
Want the most accessible way into a standard-AWD premium crossover Preferred The screen, the Bose audio and the Head-Up Display are already here
Commute daily and care most about running cost and a quiet cabin Preferred 87 octane and QuietTuning are standard, not trim-gated
Want the darker, wheeled-up look without the top-trim spend Sport Touring The step up from Preferred buys the 20-inch wheels and the sport cabin
Sit in traffic through a Hill Country August Avenir Ventilated front seats and heated rear outboard seats arrive at the Avenir trim
Want Preferred’s price but heated seats and a hands-free liftgate Preferred + package The Comfort and Convenience Package covers both without the Avenir step

The sweet spot. For many buyers, Sport Touring. It changes what you look at and sit in, and nothing above it changes what the car does. Avenir is worth the step if the ventilated and massaging seats and the panoramic roof will get used every week. In this market, that is a more defensible yes than it would be in Marble Falls in February. The full ladder with equipment deltas lives on the trims page.

For the full ladder with equipment deltas, see the Envision trims comparison. Cross-shopping? We have written the Envision against the Acura RDX, and because we sell both franchises, the Envision against the GMC Terrain.

2026 Buick Envision Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers

Does the 2026 Buick Envision require premium gas?

No. The 2026 Buick Envision uses regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. The engine is turbocharged, which leads many shoppers to assume premium is required, but Buick specifies regular.

Is the 2026 Buick Envision all-wheel drive?

Yes. Intelligent all-wheel drive with an active twin clutch is standard on every 2026 Envision trim: Preferred, Sport Touring and Avenir. There is no front-wheel-drive version for 2026, and all-wheel drive is not a paid option on any trim.

How much can a 2026 Buick Envision tow?

Up to 1,500 pounds with a properly rated conventional hitch on the AWD configuration. That rating applies to all three trims. It suits a small utility trailer, a jet ski or a hitch-mounted cargo carrier. Installing a hitch does not increase the factory towing limit.

What are the 2026 Buick Envision trim levels and starting prices?

Three trims. Preferred starts at $41,000, Sport Touring at $43,500, and Avenir at $50,700. All figures are MSRP excluding destination freight charge, tax, title, license and dealer fees.

Does the 2026 Buick Envision have a third row?

No. The Envision is a two-row, five-passenger compact SUV. Buyers who need a third row should look at the Buick Enclave.

Is there a hybrid or electric 2026 Buick Envision?

No. For 2026 the Envision is offered with a single 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline powertrain. There is no hybrid and no battery-electric Envision.

What warranty comes with a 2026 Buick Envision?

Three years or 36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper, five years or 60,000 miles on the powertrain, five years or 60,000 miles of roadside assistance, and six years or 100,000 miles of rust-through protection, whichever comes first. The first scheduled maintenance visit at 12 months or 12,000 miles is included.

Next Step

Drive a Preferred and an Avenir back to back.

Fifteen minutes settles the question no table on this page can: whether the ventilated seats are worth the step for you.
